Weather
Madrid is basically a dry city, rain is rare, and high heat levels
are often not as oppressive as one might think due to the low humidity,
particularly at the beginning of the summer. The average temperatures
are between 5C (41F) and 24C (75F). However, daily highs and lows
are often significantly higher or lower than the average temperatures.
For instance, in July its not uncommon for the temperature to reach
40° C (100° F) and in January at night the temperature can drop
well below freezing. But keep in mind that because it is a dry city,
hot or cold weather is much more bearable than if it were a humid
city.
